Psychometric Tests

Normally, I don't encourage people to do psychometric tests to decide their career paths for a multitude of reasons.

  • The main reason is that I believe they promise to solve the person's career problem, but really just regurgitate data the person provided themselves.

  • A second reason is that they don't take into account any market factors

  • And a third reason I don't like them is that they don't account for the person's individual situation (competencies, experience or needs).
