The Confidence Checklist

Recently, I've spent a lot of time thinking about confidence and I'm really interested in how we can continuously build and maintain it in a way that works for each of us. I don't expect that what works for me will be exactly right for you, but I'm hoping that by sharing what works for me, it might help you figure out what works for you. Pilots and surgeons have checklists to make sure they're prepared properly to do their jobs, but why don't the rest of us have checklists? Why don't we have a checklist for confidence?

It's not that we don't know all of the thing to do, the same way a pilot or a surgeon knows all the right things to do, it's simple that sometimes we forget. In fact, research has found that using a "Surgical checklist cuts deaths by 40%"! Incredible! I'll put the link to that article below for anyone who wants to read more... In my case, I like to manage my confidence by controlling the controllables in terms of my mind, body and environment. For example, eating, sleeping and exercising well, along with keeping supportive people around me....
